The connection method of terminal blocks can vary depending on their types, and some issues may arise during the wiring operations.

The terminal block can adopt different connection methods according to the type of product and usage scenario:
1. Screw connection of the terminal block
Screw connection uses a screw-type terminal block connection method. It is important to pay attention to the maximum and minimum cross-sections of the connecting wires, as well as the maximum tightening torque allowed for different specifications of screws.
2. Solder connection of the terminal block
The most common soldering method is tin soldering. The key point in soldering is that a continuous metal connection should be formed between the solder and the surface being soldered. Therefore, for cold-pressed terminals, solderability is crucial. The most common coatings for soldered ring terminals are tin alloy, silver, and gold. The common soldered ends for spring contact types include solder tab type, punched solder tab type, and notch solder tab type: the common soldered ends for pinhole contact types include drilled arc notch type.
3. Crimp connection of the terminal block
Crimping is a technique used to compress and displace metal within specified limits to connect the wire to the contact pair. A good crimp connection can produce mutual melting flow of the metal, causing symmetrical deformation of the wire and contact pair materials. This type of connection is similar to cold welding, providing good mechanical strength and electrical continuity, and can withstand harsher environmental conditions.
4. Wrapping connection of the terminal block
Wrapping involves directly winding the wire around the angular contact piece's wrapping post. During wrapping, the wire is wound under controlled tension and pressed into the corners of the contact piece's wrapping post to form a hermetic contact.
Common issues during the wiring process of terminal blocks are as follows:
1) During the entire wiring process, be sure to disconnect the power supply before performing any operations; do not operate under live conditions. If unsure whether the power is off, you can check with a pen and a digital multimeter. When wiring, if the terminal block or switch terminal has a rolling button, it must be replaced immediately. Otherwise, it can easily lead to the risk of electric shock.
2) When entering the power supply, please remember to install PVC conduit. If the wires are installed in the ceiling, do not pull the wires carelessly. Additionally, during the installation process, set up supports in the corners of the conduit to better secure the wire tube. Do not place wires on supports or main beams without any fixed measures.
3) When installing wires, be sure to pay attention to the length of the wires in the switch box; they should not be too long. After wiring, please feed the wires into the conduit and do not insert the wires into the switch for fixing. Furthermore, the server should not be installed under fixed power sockets, as this can also affect the safety of electrical products.
