What problems are often encountered during the crimping of copper tube terminals?

Copper tube terminals, also commonly known as wire lugs or copper lugs, are referred to in English as Lug Terminals or Terminal Lugs.

Copper tube terminals are a relatively common type of connector, and their crimping issues have been a constant concern for many users: Copper joints are applied in various fields of the market due to their superior performance in transmitting electrical signals and conductivity, thereby continuously reducing workload and cost consumption while providing many conveniences for production and use, avoiding many troubles. This ultimately achieves the goal of simplifying product structure and saving manufacturing costs.

During the use of copper tube terminals, there are often issues with the wire crimping not being secure, leading to some connection problems. Common issues are as follows:

1. The pressure during crimping the conductor with the tubular terminal is insufficient, resulting in a weak crimping area;

2. Loose wires in the crimping area: primarily due to inadequate force applied during crimping the conductor.

In response to the above two issues, Longyi terminal technicians propose the following solutions:

1. Before using the terminal, conduct relevant insertion and extraction tests, that is, pull the connected terminal wire several times to ensure it is correct before use;

2. Control during the inspection process at the connection point, ensuring that any cable connection of the tubular terminal must undergo vertical upward or downward pull tests to prevent the cable from being pulled out.
